Hey, I’m the 3-4 teacher at VVAA.  I love the outdoors: hiking, biking, surfing, etc. I grew up on the Central Coast and attendee’s Valley View when I was younger.  I graduated with my bachelors in Elementary Ed from Southern Adventist University. I’m one class away from completing my MA in counseling. I love teaching my students about the importance of emotional intelligence and living a rich life.

Hello! When asked if I would like a puppy or a goldfish, I chose the latter. The serene beauty of a colorful fish swimming peacefully in close proximity to me is very calming. Until I can get to the ocean, this will suffice.

By the way, I had nothing against dogs until I was bitten by my neighbor’s grown pup.
I enjoy long, scenic rides which refresh and invigorate the body and soul. I am able to talk with – and listen to – the Lord on a different level on these trips.
I enjoy healthy foods, especially those that appeal to the olfactory sense.
Writing and the study of language has also been a source of fascination over the years.
Well, I do not like everything. So, what is it that I do not like?
I will list one of my pet peeves: Seeing children riding in cars and not using seatbelts.
Now, I will end by stating that I love to go on walks. As a matter of fact, I am closing now because I need to take a walk. I am Glasmine ELLIS.

As a teacher for a number of years in both elementary and academy settings, I have worked in diverse locations from inner city Washington D.C to rural Eastern Kentucky.

In the academy setting, I worked as an academic counselor, work coordinator, facility manager, and teacher.  In elementary education, I have taught in both small and larger schools.

I attended California State University Bakersfield for my undergraduate degree and hold a graduate degree from Mount Vernon Nazarene University, Mount Vernon, Ohio. I took my teacher training and student teaching through Columbia Union College.

My philosophy is “with God all things are possible,” Matthew 19:26
